Jennifer Vu

Jen began her yoga journey in 2001 when a friend invited her to a class and she’s been hooked ever since! She has worked to develop a dedicated practice over the years. She has not only benefited from yoga physically, but has also been transformed by the positive effects yoga has had on her mind and emotional well being.

Jen is a registered yoga teacher at the 500-hour advanced level, and received her teaching certification through Shanti Kelley, of Shanti Yoga Practice. She has received her Kids Yoga Teacher certification from The Little Yoga House, Austin’s first yoga school dedicated to children. Jen is also a certified Yogapeutics instructor, a program that blends yoga with therapeutic tools to strengthen the mind and body, by incorporating aerial yoga with mindfulness. She is also certified in CPR. Outside of Unicorn Kids Yoga, you can find Jen teaching aerial yoga at the Little Yoga House.

Jen is passionate about sharing the magic of yoga with kids and is amazed by the positive effects it has in the children she has worked with!

When not on a yoga mat, Jen keeps busy traveling around the world, performing as an aerialist and stiltwalker, making costumes, and playing with her dog.

Brittany Riley

Brittany Riley’s journey to teaching began in a Montessori toddler classroom in 2009. That same year, she started practicing yoga with senior citizens at Tree of Life Yoga. A very severe lower back injury brought Riley to yoga in the beginning. A strong yogic practice has helped her develop a strong sense of body awareness and knowledge of the inner workings of the human body. Proudly, she has been able to play a major role in her own road to recovery from that injury! The thing that amazes her the most about yoga is that anybody can take part in the practice. Young or experienced, injured or well, it doesn’t matter, yoga is for anybody who’s ready.

The teachings of yoga so inspired her that in 2015, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and then, her Kids Yoga Teacher certification through The Little Yoga House in 2016.

Riley is passionate both about early childhood education and in the benefits of yoga on growing minds and bodies. A teacher at her core, she believes that yoga should be in every teacher’s classroom toolbox because, not only do the teachings offer ways for students to gain access to self soothing techniques, but also because it’s a fun way to break up work in the classroom and wake up the brain!

In addition to copious amounts of yoga, Riley enjoys hiking with her dog, traveling, cycling, live music, and poetry readings in her spare time.

Hannah Spector

Hannah Spector is a yoga, art, and music enthusiast. At the age of 12, Hannah's mom graciously brought her along for weekly Ashtanga yoga. It has been true love ever since! From such a rigorous start, Hannah has slowed down to explore the subtler knowledge of yoga philosophy and practice. She has found strength from breathwork and a daily ritual.

A recent transplant from Florida, Hannah is a 200HR Hatha and Ashtanga yoga RYT. Two years ago, she completed her 60HR Unnata aerial training, which took her practice to a deeper level. All the while, Hannah found herself teaching children--both in art and in yoga. She strives to help kids find their voice through creativity and acceptance. You can also find Hannah at The Little Yoga House, where she teaches kids of all ages in mat and aerial yoga.
